Join me in “Crafting Our Lives” in 2010

Wow, I can’t believe I’m actually going to start blogging. You don’t know how difficult this is for me. I am not one to talk about myself or what I need/want. I have spent my whole life looking for and trying to fulfill the needs of others. With that comes great sacrifice…yourself. I love to help others please don’t get me wrong, it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction. But, in the past few months I have had a series of events in my life that have caused me to look back and say, “with half of my life now over, am I happy with what I have done?” For some things I can say, “yes”, but for others, if I died tomorrow I would have regrets. I know we can’t live a perfect life and be euphorically happy everyday, and some may say that I am in the middle of my “mid-life crisis” but it feels more to me like a mid-life awakening! To be able to look back with an honest eye and say “hey, I did that well” and smile, or, “I wish I would have done that differently” is a powerful thing when planning for the future. I am about to start on an amazing journey and I would like to share it with you. Better yet, join me! It is important to take time for me again. 2010 is the year for us to reflect on the past, make decisions for the future and “Craft our Lives” into something amazing.

Oh, I feel the same way! I have GOT to get back to spending time on ME!!!! I can’t wait to read about your journey and CRAFT mine along with you!

Thank you for being you and for opening up to us, it reminds me of that quote I love:
“Live your life from your heart. Share from your heart. And your story will touch and heal people’s souls.” Melody Beattie

So glad to see another woman stepping up and admitting it’s time for us to be a little “selfish” - if we don’t take care of ourselves, and that includes feeding our passions, who will?

Way to go, Carie! I love the new web look, and the family pictures—no confusion now about who owns and operates the store ;-D

Carie… you ROCK!!! Every time I go into the store it looks a little bit better. You can tell that you are still the driving force behind the wonderful madness that is Going Batty! Can’t wait to see what you bring us next. Thanks:)

Carrie, thanks for a great day on Tuesday. Lots of fun. You are sooooo right we do need to take time for ourselves. That does not mean we take away from our families or other responsibilities. It’s just if we don’t care for ourselves we cannot take care of others. I am so looking forward to the retreat in Feb. I have always wanted to do one, now I will!
