Baltimore Halloween

Bats, hats, witches and brooms – all the things you love about Halloween fill this Baltimore style quilt. The 20” center medallion block is surrounded by twelve 10” blocks and finished with a scalloped bat border. There are many different ways to applique, so each month we will focus on a new technique to help you master working with different shapes and sizes of applique pieces. This class meets for 8 sessions.

Quilter’s University- Technique Sampler

School is back in session! Explore tessellation blocks, variable stars, strip pieced triangles, machine applique and more in this 10 month series designed to help you become a better quilter. We will focus on a different technique each month to help improve your accuracy in future quilt making projects. This class meets for 10 sessions.

Cathedral Window Pillow

Cathedral Window quilts are made by folding fabric squares and joining them together to make a background on to which smaller pieces of fabric are stitched to create a second layer of squares on point. In class we will discover the modern version of this classic quilt eliminating hours of hand work and yards of fabric!

It’s In The Bag!

Let’s face it…a girl can NEVER have enough handbags! Stack and cut fat quarters, mix them up and sew the pieces back together to make this adorable block using Buggy Barn’s crazy method. Class will cover fabric cutting using freezer paper templates, general piecing skills, squaring up blocks and sewing consistent ¼” seams. Have fun with fabrics creating your own deeply fabulous designer handbags!

Baby Pod

Your little sweet pea will be warm and snuggly in it’s own pod that actually has an attached hoodie! A duo of coordinating fabrics provides colorful design inside and out and a layer of batting between adds extra warmth. Two large buttons and corresponding buttonholes give both easy access and a secure closure along one outside edge to keep baby snug as a pea in a pod.

Quilting 102

Take the next step with pinwheels, variable stars and chain connectors in this bright and cheery quilt. Learn several different triangle skills and how to work with directional fabric. Class meets for 4 sessions.
