Here's the complete guide to using our web store:
Registering and Logging in
In order to better assist you if we have questions about your order, we require that you register in the web store. We only need your name, address, phone number, email address and password. We do not share any of this information with any other company (see our Privacy Policy).
On the top right of each page are two buttons, "Login" and "Register". If it's your first time shopping with us in our webstore, you'll need to click the button to register. Here you'll enter your information, then when you return to shop with us you can just login with your email address and password and we'll remember all of your information.
If you ever forget your password, go ahead and click to login and there will be a place on that screen where you can request your password be sent to you. The system will create a new password for you, but you can change that later.
If you ever need to change your account information (such as your password), you'll need to login first and there will be a new link in the top right corner of each page that says "My Account". Click on this and it will take you to a page that shows your information, past orders (that you can click and review), and your wish lists (more on that below). But if you want to change your information, including your password, click on the words "Edit my Account" next to a picture of a piece of paper with a paper clip in the top right corner of the box containing your name and information. This will take you to your registration page where you can change your address, email, password, etc.
Finding Products
You can click on any of the menu items at the top of the page to see "What's New" to the shop, to learn what "Carie's Favorites" are, or to find some "Great Buys". We also have some wonderful "Block of the Month" programs going all year round, so be sure to check those out!
If you'd like to browse products in our shop, click on the Products button at the top left and various categories will appear. Another way to look at products is to view them in the picture slider at the bottom of each page. If you click on the small arrow in the top right corner of this black box more products will appear for you to view. Then you can click on one to learn more about it.
If you already know what you are looking for, there is a search box in the menu bar at the top of each page. Just type the name of the product in the search bar and it will take you to the page containing the item. Click on the name there, and more information about the product will appear.
Shopping Cart
Once you find a product you like, you can either click and drag its picture into the cart on the right hand side of the screen or, if you are at the products information page, you can click the "add to cart" button. If you would like more than one of an item, you can either repeat this step for that item to put more in the cart or you can click the "edit cart" button, and from there you will be able to change the quantity.
If you would like to edit the items in your cart, you can click on the "edit cart" button and from this screen you can delete an item in your cart entirely by clicking on the blue minus sign to the right of the item's price. Or you can edit the quantity for a particular item by changing the quantity listed.
Unfortunately, at this time our shopping cart can't handle fractional quantities of a product, such as 1 1/2 yards of fabric, so if you would like a partial yard please call us at the shop and we'll be happy to process your order directly.
If you have a coupon code that you would like to use, you will need to edit your cart prior to check out and you will be able to enter your coupon code on that page. In-store coupons may not be used online unless it specifically states on the coupon that it may be used in our web store and has a specific code for this purpose.
At checkout, the store will automatically calculate the shipping charges for your order. Shipping is based on the dollar amount of your order. You can find these charges in our "Terms and Conditions" page. Just keep in mind that shipping is FREE for all orders over $200 that ship in the US! You also have the option to pick up your order at the shop to save on the shipping cost, just click on the shipping box on the checkout page to select this option.
Wish Lists
If you would like to create a wish list of things you would like, just click on the wish list button to the right and it will ask you if you would like to see your wish list or find a wish list based on the email address of the person that created it. It's pretty self-explanatory from there, but the neat thing is that you can create it and then the store can email people of your choosing to let them know that your list is there for them to review. So now you can always get what you want for your birthday!
Order Lookup
If you would like to look up any of your past orders, there are two ways to do it. You can either log in and go to your account page as discussed above, or you can go directly to the "Order Lookup" button on the right. If you choose to use the button, you will need to know your order number and email address.
